HOTELS IN TAMPA FLORIDAYou have many choices of hotels in Tampa Florida, with most of them having reasonable rates especially compared to other large Florida cities. There are locations near Tampa International Airport, Busch Gardens, the University of South Florida, the Florida State Fairgrounds and the Seminole Casino as well as in the heart of downtown Tampa. The task of listing all of these hotels in Tampa Florida is beyond the scope of this website. I will limit my list to those places I've stayed or at least know something about first hand. Comfort Suites at Fairgrounds - Casino, 4506 Oak Fair Boulevard, Tampa, Florida 33610. Tel: 813-868-7770. Good hotel on east side. This is one of the closest of hotels in Tampa Florida to the Seminole Casino with free shuttle ride, and also close to the Florida State Fairgrounds. Average room rates from $112-$146. Embassy Suites Tampa at Brandon, 10220 Palm River Road, Tampa, Florida 33619. Tel: 813-653-1905. This comfortable place is in the town of Brandon just east of Tampa. Easy access to downtown and the entire Tampa area. Average room rates from $105-$182. Emerald Greens Golf Resort & Country Club, 13941 Club House Drive, Tampa, Florida 33618. If you are looking for a golf getaway, this is your place. Emerald Greens is located in the Carrollwood area on the north side of Tampa on Dale Mabry Highway. The resort is beautifully maintained, and most of the rooms are two bedroom villas with full kitchens. There is a swimming pool and exercise center, and a 27 hole golf course. Good meals. You never have to leave the place even though it's close to shopping and other restaurants. Average room rates from $146-$325. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites, 8310 Galbraith Road (I-75 Exit 270), Tampa, Florida 33647. Tel: 877-859-5095. A nice clean reasonably priced hotel on north side of Tampa not too far from Bush Gardens and the University of South Florida. Average room rates from $96-$178. Homewood Suites Tampa Airport-Westshore, 5325 Avion Park Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607. Tel: 813-282-1950. Very friendly staff, and modern inviting decor. Hotel common areas and rooms are very clean and comfortable. Convenient to the airport and the westsite business district. Average room rates from $104-$152. Palmer House Bed and Breakfast, 2221 Hinton Ranch Road, Lithia, FL 33547. The Palmer House Bed and Breakfast has a country feeling, yet it is close to Tampa and Orlando. A great place for a Florida getaway weekend. Relaxing, horse back riding, canoeing on the Alafia River. Easy drive to Tampa. Southern hospitality. Hot tub, oak trees, bench swing. Average room rates from $119-$189.

Close to Channelside and other shopping and entertainment venues. Valet parking only. Average room rates from $139-$318. Westin Tampa Harbour Island, 725 S. Harbour Island Blvd., Tampa, Florida 33602. Tel: 813-229-5000. This place used to be a Wyndham and is still a quality hotel. Beautiful views of the harbor and marina in downtown Tampa. Close to downtown dining and shopping. Average room rates from $111-$324. Wingate By Wyndham Tampa USF/Busch Gardens, 3751 East Fowler Avenue, Tampa, FL 33612. Tel: 813-979-2828.
