I like this restaurant because it's right downtown with a great view of the St. Johns River. Good steaks and seafood, and a great Christmas Dinner.
- Clark's Fish Camp. 12903 Hood Landing Rd., Jacksonville, Florida 32258. 904-268-3474. Down south in the Mandarin area, but well worth the trip for the great local seafood, ribs and steaks.
- Daruma Japanese Steak House. 8535 Baymeadows Road, Suite 10A, Jacksonville, Florida 32256. 904-739-3239. I love this restaurant where the chef chops, prepares and cooks your hibachi meal right in front of your eyes. Sushi too if you must.
- Metro Diner. 3302 Hendricks Ave, Jacksonville, Florida 32207. 904-398-3701. Where the locals like to have breakfast, lunch and brunch. Great local color and delicious food.
- Sala Thai Restaurant. 10769 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville , FL 32246. 904-641-8384. My favorite Thai restaurant in Jacksonville. Good everything, especially the soups.
