Lawtey, Florida: Slow Down When You Blow Through This Burg

Lawtey is a little town of about 600 people in Bradford County near Starke. It is on US-301, and for many years was famous as a speed trap. I got nailed there twice while driving from Jacksonville to Gainesville.

Wikipedia says that Lawtey has the dubious distinction of being one of only two official speed traps designated by the American Automobile Association. The other one is Waldo, just a few miles south on the same US-301.
