Godown is a former director of The Florida Historical Society and Florida Folklore Society. This is a great book for learning about Florida and some of the places you should see.

The book presents 29 scenic drives starting in far Northwest Florida with Red Bluffs overlooking Escambia Bay, to the Ten Thousand Islands in Southwest Florida on the edge of the Everglades.

The book has plenty of maps, and shows you how to plan one tank trips on the Florida backroads.
