INDIALANTIC. BETWEEN INDIAN RIVER AND ATLANTIC OCEAN
Indialantic is located on the beach immediately east of Melbourne. It's an imaginative and creative name: this small town of less than 3,000 is on the barrier island separating the Indian River Lagoon from the Atlantic Ocean.
Residents of this great little place spend a lot of time explaining to folks that the name of their town is not India-Atlantic. Even your computer's spell check feature hesitates at letting you type the correctly spelled name.
Indialantic is a prime residential and tourist location and is noted for its beautiful white sand beaches and an amazingly small number of high rise condos.

NOTE: DURING THIS PERIOD OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THE RESTAURANT SHOULD BE CONTACTED REGARDING ITS CURRENT STATUS.
I lived in Indialantic for many years and have a lot of favorite restaurants. Some are more favorite than others, and Islands Grill is in that category.
Once inside, you will feel at home in this cozy place with two separate dining rooms. This place is so good I recommend you start out with one of their great appetizers.
Since seafood is in their name, there are the expected treasures like Onion Crusted Grouper, Scallops and Shrimp seasoned with garlic and butter, Mussels, Crab and Shrimp Fettuccine, and the Crab Cake Caprese Entree.

June is one of favorite months in Florida. This year not so much, however, because many of us are staying at home because of the global virus pandemic. The weather is great, and we enjoy our time at home by reading and getting caught up on chores. May was warmer than usual. Most of our snowbirds have gone back north, but some are
staying in their Florida homes during the pandemic. Restaurants are beginning to open with new recommended health procedures in place. Some also offer take out or delivery services.
HERE ARE SOME INTERESTING FLORIDA EVENTS FOR JUNE:
FLORIDA WINERIES. Check the Florida winery nearest you. Many of them have wonderful weekend events that include music and wine tastings. Our site has information on 27 wineries scattered across the state. We plan to add even more when we have time to visit them.
FLORIDA TOURIST ATTRACTIONS. We have an extensive list of Florida Tourist Attractions. Some of them are well known; other are a wonderful step back into Old Florida.
