Cable Junction Zipline Adventures is an exciting attraction for all ages in the small town of Sanderson about 30 miles west of Jacksonville and 20 miles east of Lake City on US-90 and I-10.
Zipline adventures have become popular attractions in many areas of Florida. Part of their popularity is because the adventure can be enjoyed by entire families: kids, parents and grandparents alike enjoy the thrill of traveling suspended from a cable above Florida's wonderful scenery.
It's the closest thing yet man has come up with to duplicate the thrill of flying without losing contact with solid support instead of just relying on wings.
Their zipline uses Edelrid Smart Belays with a full body harness and zip on two lines for safety that lets you soar above the surrounding scenery propelled only by gravity.
What sets Cable Junction Zipline Adventures apart from the others is the beautiful wooded scenery and the thrill of soaring through the tree tops at speeds up to 40 MPH on a 2500 foot long course.
You will feel like Tarzan and Jane but without the risk.
The course consists of 7 separate high flying zipline stations, 5 climbing elements up to 42 feet high, and 3 tree-top aerial bridges. You are also attached to the cable with safety lines when you are on the elevated platforms at the zipline stations.
The minimum weight for riders is 45 pounds, and the maximum weight is 275 pounds. It's a guided tour with two guides.
At the end of the zipline journey you can challenge a partner to take on the 450 foot long Exit Challenge. You will reach speeds up to 40 MPH and find out who the fastest rider is as you speed along on separate parallel ziplines.
Cable Junction Zipline Adventures has a primitive camp ground on their property. It is named The Camps at Cable Junction.
This is a great natural setting for tent camping and sitting around a campfire with the family retelling stories of the day's zipline adventures.
Cable Junction Zipline Adventures is located 20 miles East of Lake City and 30 miles West of Jacksonville. It is located near Interstate 10 and US Highway 90 close to Exit 324. You will see the large overhead aerial courses and the natural scenery from your car.
