Family Travels 1956

My dad moved us to Florida in 1956 in a station wagon. He took us to nearly every site on this list over the next few years. Five kids in back and him smoking a cigar with the window open.

I remember the giant ape sign on US going into Dania. It must have been for Parrot Jungle.

Broke my nose on a diving board doing a back flip in Homossasa Springs. I live not far from the old African USA in Boca.

What about the candy stand at Yeehaw Junction?
