Okay, forget that the owner is an unapologetic Georgia Bulldog, the food served at the Southern Charm Cafe is the epitome of Southern! We're talking fried catfish, fried okra, wonderful mac and cheese, corn bread, and shrimp'n'grits that are unequaled.

This place is so popular that on Sunday morning cars circle the parking lot like sharks in a feeding frenzy. To try and meet the demand, the cafe recently expanded the seating area and kitchen is in the midst of expanding its parking lot. So busy are they that they had pull back their dinner service because they physically couldn't keep up with the demand.

Dinner service--here we're talking melt in your mouth prime rib--will be back as soon as they can increase the staff. And desserts, did I mention the peanut butter pie and banana pudding?

Over and above the fantastic food is the friendly staff that engender a homey atmosphere that makes you feel like one of the family from the moment you walk in the door. You'd fully expect Memaw to holler from the kitchen to take a seat because the fried chicken is ready for the eating.

Beyond this is Southern Charm Cafe's commitment to the community and the country. A veteran-owned business, Southern Charm Cafe regularly supports events such as Wreaths Across America and hosts fund raisers for local schools and charities.

If you are hankering for Southern food at its very best, stop by Southern Charm Cafe. You won't be disappointed!

Editor says: you have the gift for describing a place in a way that makes me want to go there immediately. Good job. You should be a food critic.
