ST. AUGUSTINE, Connie May Fowler

Connie May Fowler
Connie May Fowler is an excellent author in St Augustine. You have probably heard of several of her works, after all she is an essayist, screenwriter and novelist!
Before Women Had Wings won the Southern Book Critics Circle Award and was made into a successful "Oprah Winfrey Presents" TV Movie. Remembering Blue won a Chautauqua South Award for Fiction. She and her husband are cofounders of the Connie May Fowler Women with Wings Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to aiding women and children in need. On a personal note, her stories encompass the raw Florida of my childhood transporting me back in time revealing forgotten details once again revealing another perspective. I thoroughly enjoy her books and am very surprised she was not listed!!
