Michael Shaara

Michael Shaara was born in 1928 and died in 1988 of a heart attack.

He lived in Tallahasse at one time while teaching literature at Florida State University.

His novel about the Battle of Gettysburg, "The Killer Angels", won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1975.

He also wrote many science fiction stories that were published in magazines.
