I served a hitch in the U.S. Navy many decades ago and my destroyer visited many ports in the Mediterranean.  This is where I learned to love Mediterranean food, including Lebanese.

Habibi Entrance

Habibi Lebanese Grill in Winter Garden reminds me of the best food I had back in those Navy days.  The food is Halal, meaning permissible in Islamic law.  

I am not a Muslim, but Halal results in some great tasting food.

Habibi is located on the edge of a Publix shopping center on busy West Colonial Drive.

When I ate there on a mid-Friday afternoon, I was the only dine-in customer.  They were doing a busy take out business.

A lovely young woman took my order at the counter and said she would bring my food to my table if I wanted to dine in.

Habibi Meat Pies

She came back in a reasonable time with my order.  I ordered a Lebanese Salad, appetizers of meat pie and kibbe, and a Kafta platter.  Everything was delicious.

Habibi is open 7 days a week from 11am to 9pm (Monday-Saturday) and 11am to 8pm on Sunday.
