Many years ago when I lived in Brevard County we all knew there was an old man, somewhat of a hermit, that lived in a shack at the west end of Malabar Road in Palm Bay. He claimed that the ghosts of Indians would visit him and chat with him about their way of life from thousands of years ago.
The old man died years ago. My girlfriend and I drove out there one night and parked on the unpaved road and turned off the headlights. We just sat there in the dark and quiet and I swear, after about 20 minutes, we began to see ghostly figures moving back and forth in the mist a few hundred feet in front of our car.
Soon more of these apparitions appeared on both sides of the car. We had an awful scared feeling and turned on the headlights and got out of there as fast as we could.
